I am an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) in Development Economics at the European School of Political and Social Sciences, Catholic University of Lille.

My research uses microdata and applied econometric methods to study food security, natural resources, inequality, child labour, health, and gender in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am particularly interested in how behavioral traits, environmental factors, and policy interventions shape development outcomes for vulnerable populations.

I hold a PhD in Economics (with Distinction) from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, and have published in leading journals including World Development, Nature Communications, PNAS Nexus, Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy, Journal of Development Studies, and Energy Economics. My work has been supported by grants from organizations including the African Economic Research Consortium and the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research.

I am committed to research that addresses inequality, exclusion, and sustainable development, with particular focus on gender equity, child welfare, and the economic challenges facing rural communities across Africa.
